The Israel Diplomatic Fellowship in Ha'aretz (and I'm quoted!)

There is an article in Ha'aretz, one of Israel's newspapers, today about the Israel Diplomatic Fellowship and it includes a quote from yours truly.  I may come off a bit strong in the quotes since they largely left out many of the positive things I said, but the sentiment is true.  Hopefully, we will see some discussion of historical narratives in future Fellowship programs and perhaps a few more speakers representing leftist positions.

  2. I can't seem to make sense of my thoughts and opinions of this trip, but you summarize it so well. I agree with your stance on the major issues, so when people ask me about specifics on the trip I just direct them here. I'll continue being lazy and try to sort out my thoughts, while you keep writing.

  3. I'm enjoying your blog, Matt! Interesting that you were quoted out of context about your views of the seminar. I guess that's what happens when you take a strong stand in a particular direction.

  4. I, too, agree with your commentary regarding history. Rather than engaging in a distortion of the facts, I think Israel should trust Fellowship members to reach their own conclusions. Clearly, there are different viewpoints and dealing with the concerns of each party to the dispute is the only credible way to begin seeking a solution.
